Matsopoulos Park is probably the most imposing building complex in Trikala, which was offered to the Municipality of Trikala as a gift by I. Matsopoulos and now constitutes a shared heritage. It is characterized as an Industrial Heritage Site, whose entire machinery remains active and it now serves as a museum, thanks to which visitors can learn about how the golden wheat grain takes its final form. Water meets heat-producing electromobility. And this is a whole on-going process since 1884!
Nowadays, apart from functioning as a museum, it is also a living cell for the city, since it hosts cultural acts and themed festivals, such as the Mill of the Elves, while the whole place around it, in which River Agamoniotis flows, has turned into one of the biggest and favorite parks of this region.
