The Municipality of Trikala is where time lives. From the beginning of time, this place has always accommodated the works of man and life has been evolving on the same way until now. At the banks of River Lithaios, Ancient Trikki starts to spread and inspire life.
An important city is in the same place where modern Trikala are now found and originates from the ancient citadel, references of which are still preserved in the Castle-Fortress of the city, right next to the river that crosses the city. Since the time of Homer, we see the first historical references that are engraved on the Archaeological Site in the heart of the city. From 3300 B.C. until now, it is a place in progress.
Outstanding among the discoveries are the Hellenic-Roman Baths, where the archaeological research sheds light on Asklipiion, home of the God of Medicine, Asklipios and symbol of healing power gained after a visit to Trikala.
